Here’s how to find where “The Mary Read” has pulled into port! Below is a map of our position so that you can rendezvous with us each day:
“The Mary Read” is presently the lifeblood of Quay Words Bookshop. She is the transportation, advertisement board, and warehouse of our startup operation. She tirelessly carries her cargo of 100+ used books around the island for the people of Peaks’ enjoyment. Think of her wanderings and hours of operation like an ice cream truck – minus the music and the melting. In good weather, she goes where the wind takes her. She’s in business between the hours of 2 pm – 5 pm on weekdays and Captain’s choice on weekends. That’s why this page is so helpful!
The Mary Read moors most of the time at 120 Brackett Avenue; the shipyard she calls home. Sure, it’s a bit of a hike up that hill, but at this location you can enjoy some comfortable seating where you can read among the trees as well as some complementary “sun tea” (iced tea).
